Wade and Cody were very helpful with our purchase of a Yamaha generator. Wade made sure it started and showed us how to use it.
REALLY???? Come on now. You don't have to lie to sell bikes.
I will be glad to send these pics to any knowledgeable company rep or individual . But mostly I'd more glad to get my $300.00 returned to me .
Excellent customer service and pleasant tech to work with.
To cap it all off, the bike ended up selling for $6300, on eBay. The same exact amount we had settled upon earlier.
I can't speak for the other salesmen there, they probably have some good ones just like at every shop, but my experience was very disappointing. I am just thankful I didn't let this shyster hustle me out of my hard-earned money.
I called the shop and spoke to salesman Rick regarding a bike I saw on Craigslist. We settle on a number and he runs my credit which comes back approved and we agree upon a down payment. Then he calls me and starts telling me the bike is also for sale on eBay and he has another offer that matches my own at $6300 and that I will now have to "bid" against other buyers. I told him I'm not going to play these games because if he had the bike for sale on eBay, then why is he trying to work a deal with me over the phone in the first place? We hang up. He calls me back about 30 minutes later and tells me if I am still interested I'll have to buy the bike for $7800 because he's got the eBay sale bids up at $6900 now................Well, I happen to be sitting in front of the computer and looking at the eBay posting at just that moment, which is still sitting right there at $6300. I said "Rick, what are you talking about? Your eBay posting is still at $6300. Where's the other $600??" To which Lyin' Rick replies: "Oh, there's some more bids about to come through."
I recently took a 2011 Polaris 170 RZR to Columbus Cycle as it wouldn't start. A week later I picked it up and took it home . It ran , no complaint there .
. I'm disappointed such a fine company would do this to a customer . But as we say in Texas , " fool me once , shame on you . Fool me twice , shame on me " . God bless them all anyway .
Buyer beware.
Dishonest business practices. Caught them lying red-handed --
Upon looking at the carburetor they claimed to have overhauled at great expense , I saw it was as dirty externally as the rest of the engine , which is normal for an engine that's never been worked on . Usually a carb is removed and washed in a solvent like Varsol to clean out the passages inside of it and this solvent would also clean the outside by default . The clamps that held the carb to the intake and manifold and gas lines were covered in dirt and grime . It is impossible to remove a carb without removing the clamps . Parts that are touched during repair look clean .Not . Plus there was a 'zip tie' around one of the carbs air outlets , really ? A zip tie? The only clean new part I saw was a fuel filter . Which was the true fix , obviously . I wasn't allowed to speak to the mechanic. The unit worked for a few days .They told me the fuel pump was weak when I picked the RZR up and it was . It died , I replaced the fuel pump myself , as I couldn't afford the additional parts and labor after paying for a $310.00 fuel filter . I have very good pictures of the carburetor , which I shall keep ad infinitum for those who doubt my veracity and mechanical knowledge.
This is in response to Mr Craig Campbell's recent negative post. We received 2 atvs from him on July 26th of this year. The Polaris RZR 170 came in with the air filter not connected and just laying in the airbox. This allowed water and dirt to enter the carburetor and motor. We removed the carburetor and it of course was full of water and dirt. We also flushed the fuel tank, as it also had a large amount of condensation in it. This RZR looked suspiciously like it had been under water. Because we put fuel filters on every atv that we do carburetor work on, we also put a fuel filter on it. We repaired both of them to his satisfaction and they ran perfectly. We also told him at that time about his fuel pump being weak, but he said that he would just "keep an eye on it". Of course the fuel pump did end up going out and he replaced it himself. He came to the shop today (almost a month later) wanting a refund for work THAT WE ALREADY DID. Again, he brought it in not running, it ran perfectly when it left, by his own admission. This wasn't from magic, this was because we performed the work that we charged him for. From the time he dropped off his units through today when he came in calling us liars, we handled Mr Campbell with honesty, integrity, and professionalism. It's too bad that we are losing him as a customer, but, honestly, our Service Department, and our Dealership for that matter, has a great reputation for doing the work professionally and honestly. It is a reputation that we plan on keeping. Just wanted to get both sides of the story out there, as it seems to be very easy for people to put negative stuff on the internet with no rebuttal.
