I love stopping in Columbus just to eat at Schobels. They have this awesome wedge of cheese that you can hand shave. The sweet potato salad is incredible. I love the family feel. Come in and eat or take some food home. You must try the buttermilk pie! Today they had it on the buffet. If I lived in Columbus. I wouldn’t bother to have a kitchen. So good!

Stopped here for their breakfast buffet since our hotel had slim pickings. It turned out really good. Quite a bit on the buffet and menu options if buffets aren't your thing. My favorites we're the chicken fried pork chops and the French toast. Service was good, our glasses stayed full. Lots of people were coming and going the entire time we were there which proved to be a good sign. If you are in the area, definitely check it out!
Great food and service! A lovely little restaurant with a candy shop in front. Portions are very large. My only problem with the restaurant is its other clientele. The elderly diners audibly mocked my girlfriend's jean shorts and my visible tattoo, before moving on to make fun of their own grandchildren. The restaurant is worth the stop when driving from Austin to Houston. But ask for a table away from other customers if possible.
